Rachel Truett
Clinical Therapist, PPC
Rachel is originally from rural Eastern Kentucky and has spent over 18 years as an active duty military spouse. Her journey has taken her across the country and abroad—from Oklahoma, Texas, South Korea, Alaska, Hawaii, and Wyoming. Along the way, she’s experienced the beauty and challenges of diverse cultures, lifestyles, and communities. These experiences have shaped her deep empathy for others and her passion for helping people find strength, resilience, and hope in the face of life’s challenges.
As a counselor, Rachel has a special appreciation for working with busy professionals, particularly those in high-stress roles. She understands the weight of responsibility, the strain on family dynamics, and the unspoken expectations that can make it hard to seek support. In her practice, she creates a safe, respectful space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to move forward.
Rachel draws from Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients discover their strengths, set meaningful goals, and align their lives with their core values. Her approach is practical, compassionate, and rooted in the belief that people already carry within them the tools they need to thrive. She considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they build resilience, nurture relationships, and live with greater clarity and purpose.
With a heart for service, Rachel is also passionate about advocating for underserved and minority populations. She holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands, and is a National Certified Counselor (NCC).
Outside of her counseling work, Rachel enjoys the simple joys of life—hiking mountain trails, sitting on the porch, and exploring new perspectives through learning. Most of all, she treasures time with her family and finds joy in the everyday moments that make life meaningful.
